My grandfather took me to the fish pond on the farm when I was about seven, and he told me to throw a stone into the water. He told me to watch the circles created by the stone. Then he asked me to think of myself as that stone.
\"You may create lots of splashes in your life, but the waves that come from those splashes will disturb the peace of all your fellow creatures,\" he said.
\"Remember that you are responsible for what you put in your circle and that circle will also touch many other circles.\"
\"You will need to live in a way that allows the good that comes from your circle to send the peace of that goodness to others. The splash that comes from anger or jealousy will send those feelings to other circles. You are responsible for both.\" “你应当努力使自己波纹中的平和宁静传播给他人。
That was the first time I realized that each person creates the inner peace or discord that flows out into the world. We cannot create world peace if we are riddled with inner conflict, hatred, doubt, or anger.
We radiate the feelings and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak them or not. Whatever is splashing around inside of us is spilling out into the world, creating beauty or discord with all other circles of life.
John and Bobby joined a wholesale company togther just after graduation from college the same year. Both worked very hard. After several years, however, the boss promoted Bobby to the posotion of manager but John remained an ordinary employee. John could not take it anymore, tendered his resignation to the boss and complained the boss did not know how to delegate and did not value hard working staff, but only promoted those who flattered him.
The boss knew that John worked very hard for the years. He thought for a moment and said, \"Thank you for your criticism, but I have a request. I hope you will do one more thing for our company before you leave. Perhaps you will change your mind and take back your resignation.\"
John agreed. The boss asked him to go and find out anyone selling watermelon in the market. John went and returned soon. He said he had found out a man selling watermelon. The boss asked how much per kg? John shook his head and went back to the market to ask and returned to inform the boss $1.2 per kg.
Boss told John to wait a second, and he called Bobby to come to his office. He asked Bobby to go and find anyone seling watermelon in the market. Bobby went, returned and said, boss, only one person selling watermelon. $1.2 per kg, $10 for 10kg, he has inventory of 340 melons. On the table 58 melons, every melon weights about 2 kg, bought from the South two days ago, they are fresh and red, good quality.
John was very impresed and realized the difference between himself and Bobby. He decided not to resign but to learn from Bobby.
My dear friends, a more successful person is more observant, thinks more and explores in depth. Chances exists in the daily details. For the same matter, a more successful person sees more and farther so that he can find out an opportunity and catch it to realize his aim. If a person sees one year ahead, while another sees only tomorrow. The difference between a year and a day is 365 times, how could you win?
A man had a little daughter—an only and much-loved child. He lived for her—she was his life. So when she became ill, he became like a man possessed, moving heaven and earth to bring about her restoration to health。
His best efforts, however, proved unavailing and the child died. The father became a bitter recluse, shutting himself away from his many friends and refusing every activity that might restore his poise and bring him back to his normal self. But one night he had a dream。
He was in heaven, witnessing a grand pageant of all the little child angels. They were marching in a line passing by the Great White Throne. Every white-robed angelic child carried a candle. He noticed that one child's candle was not lighted. Then he saw that the child with the dark candle was his own little girl. Rushing to her, he seized her in his arms, caressed her tenderly, and then asked, \"How is it, darling, that your candle alone is unlighted?\" \"Daddy, they often relight it, but your tears always put it out.\"
Just then he awoke from his dream. The lesson was crystal clear, and its effects were immediate. From that hour on he was not a recluse, but mingled freely and cheerfully with his former friends and associates. No longer would his darling's candle be extinguished by his useless tears。

Would you tell me which way I ought to go from here?”asked Alice. “That depends a good deal on where you want to get,” said the Cat. “I really don’t care where” replied Alice.
“Then it doesn’t much matter which way you go,” said the Cat. - Quote from the Alice in Wonderland Movie “你能告诉我从这儿我该走哪条路吗?”
My brother called me the other day and asked me for some advice? He was trying to decidebetween two job offers:
Job 1 – The first job was your typical 40 hour a week “office” job. Job 2 – The second job was more of a career in the insurance industry, where he would startat the bottom, and after many years and many long hours eventually rise to the top (if he wasgood). The second job did not pay as well as the first job (initially), but the potential pay-off of thesecond job was much greater than the first job.
So which job should my brother take? Well the answer is„it depends. Just like the Cat was trying to tell Alice, which road you take depends a great deal on whereyou want to end up.
Begin with the End in Mind
I asked my brother what was his life’s purpose. He said his purpose is to “teach,” but hewants to make a lot of money first.
I told my brother to forget about the money, and I advised him to focus on his purpose.
I then asked him which job best supports his end result of “teaching.” He said the first jobbest supports his goal because he would only have to work 40 hours a week, which would givehim spare time to teach.
He continued on to say, but if I take job number two, I can work hard and make moremoney, then I can retire early and “teach” later in life. I again advised him to “focus” on hispurpose, not money.
Health Top Tips Nutrition Love Lifestyle Happiness Weight Loss
I cautioned him to think this process through carefully because things don’t end wrong, theybegin wrong!
